How Do I Configure a Sprint Phone to Work with a ProWay Cellular Amplifier System?

Sprint's 4G cellular data network—Sprint LTE Plus, formerly known as "Spark"—operates in a frequency range that is not amplified by ProWay systems. To receive amplified signal from a ProWay system on your Sprint smartphone, you must Sprint LTE Plus on your cellular phone or device and switch to "3G only" mode. Here's how:

Disabling Sprint LTE Plus on an iPhone

  • Tap the Settings (gear) icon.
  • Tap the Cellular (green cell tower) menu item.
  • Tap Cellular Data Options.
  • Tap the green slider next to Enable LTE. The slider should now be gray.

The procedure for turning off Sprint LTE Plus on an Android device varies depending on the make and model of your phone and what version of the Android operating system you're running. Typically, one of these procedures should work:

Android procedure #1

  • Tap the Settings (gear) icon.
  • Tap Mobile data.
  • Tap Network mode.
  • Select CDMA only or 3G only.

Android procedure #2

  • Tap the Settings (gear) icon.
  • Find and tap More networks.
  • Tap Mobile networks.
  • Tap Network mode.
  • Select CDMA only or 3G only.
